Rosalina Is the Real Threat

No one watching the first few minutes of this film doubted Rosalina for a second. Armed with just a wand, she dismantles a massive Bowser Jr. mech before the audience has fully settled into their seats. The fight is clean, methodical, almost clinical — which is scarier than chaos.

What sets her apart from every other Nintendo character given the cinematic treatment is history. The way she moves carries the weight of someone who’s been doing this a very long time. Among the entire franchise roster, she may be the most formidable.

Daisy’s Post-Credits Entrance

Rosalina debuted before Princess Daisy — a choice that raised eyebrows — but the film’s post-credits scene squares the ledger. A Ukiki tries to rob someone in the galactic hub. A gloved fist drops it cold.

Daisy steps into frame with a smirk. No dialogue, no introduction. She doesn’t need one. Three seconds of screen time and the audience already knows exactly who she is. The next installment has a lot to live up to.
