TRAVELMost Virgin Flyers Are Leaving Half Their Points System Unused3 min read

Virgin Red Goes Beyond the Runway
Virgin Red carries no status tiers and no elite track. What it does carry is an unusually wide network: online shopping partners, gift vouchers, brand experiences, and lifestyle rewards that stretch well past anything aviation-related. Some earning and redemption partners overlap with Flying Club, but the platform is built for the gaps between flights.
The earning opportunities alone justify the account. Shop through the portal, book a Virgin Voyages sailing, stay at a Virgin Hotel — all feeding the same balance. If award availability on Flying Club comes up empty, Virgin Red gives you somewhere useful to direct points in the meantime.

Linking Takes About Three Minutes
Create both accounts using the same email address, name, and date of birth. Then open the Virgin Red app or website, go to account details, and select the option to link your Flying Club account. Sign in using your Flying Club membership number — Flying Club assigns a number, while Virgin Red identifies you by email — and confirm your personal details match across both profiles.
Once linked, both platforms display a single combined balance regardless of which side earned the points. There’s no transfer mechanism to manage, no decision about which account to prioritize. The balance appears in both places and stays current automatically.
