The location caught people off guard. The 2025 shortlist pointed toward Four Seasons properties: the Grand-Hôtel du Cap-Ferrat on the Cap-Ferrat peninsula, the Alpine luxury of Megève, Hotel George V buried in the streets of Paris. All plausible. None of them.

Season 4 will shoot at the Château de La Messardière, a 19th-century castle converted into a luxury hotel in Saint-Tropez, now part of the French Airelles collection. Stone walls, coastal light, a history that predates most of its guests by centuries. For a show obsessed with what old money does to people, it’s a pointed choice.

What’s Coming in 2027

Plot details are locked tight. White isn’t talking, and HBO isn’t teasing. But the bones of what Season 4 will be are already visible: a French setting thick with class tension, a cast built to play wounded, privileged, and dangerous all at once.
