When Showing Up Is the Only Thing That Matters
She was 26, having a bad day, and drove to her mom’s. Her mom noticed without being told. She held her while she cried. They curled up on the couch. Her mom made dinner, then found a small gift to give her because she was feeling down. No agenda. No advice. Just the permission to stop being an adult for one night and let somebody else carry it.
