A New Card With a Surprising Bar Tab

Alaska Airlines has been quietly reinventing itself. The carrier merged its loyalty program with newly acquired Hawaiian Airlines to launch Atmos Rewards, and alongside it came a premium credit card — the Atmos Rewards Summit Visa Infinite. The card ships with the usual elite-tier benefits, but one perk stands out as genuinely unusual for domestic airline cards: free cocktails at the lounge.

Not free well drinks. Not a two-drink token. A mixologist-curated seasonal menu, poured at no charge, just for flashing the card.

What’s Actually in the Glass

The anchor of the new elevated bar program is The Summit Sunset — a Woodford Reserve bourbon cocktail available exclusively to Atmos Rewards Summit cardholders. It’s the kind of drink that signals Alaska is trying to compete with the more polished lounge experiences at rival carriers. Non-alcoholic options include the Citrus Bloom and the Spiced Mule, both part of the same curated menu.

Before this rollout, Alaska Lounges served tea, brewed coffee, barista drinks, and West Coast wines and beers. Fine, but forgettable. The shift to a proper cocktail program with premium spirits is a real upgrade — and a calculated one. Getting cardholders through the lounge door is how an airline deepens loyalty beyond the flight itself.
