Phillips on Jen Walters

The clearest sign this cancellation genuinely stings: Phillips talked about the character like she was a real person. “Jen’s voice is just one of those characters that I clicked with from panel one, page one,” she said. “I was just on the same page with Jen.” That kind of creative connection is rare, and you can hear the loss in it.

She-Hulk has always rewarded writers willing to let her be funny, legally sharp, and physically terrifying all at once without ranking those qualities. Phillips found that frequency fast. Losing the run after five issues is losing it at exactly the wrong moment.

A Thank You With No Guarantees

Phillips closed her video with gratitude for the readers who showed up. “I’m honestly really, really proud of it. I think it was really fun to make.” She left the door open — barely — on whether the story could ever continue. “I don’t know if we will ever get to revisit this.”

Planet She-Hulk #6 goes on sale April 29 from Marvel Comics. For anyone who bought in from issue one, that’s both a finale and a deadline. Go pick it up.
